Sapeon Inc., a South Korean processor manufacturer with artificial intelligence (AI). introduced its new semiconductor for the operation of data centers.

According to the company, the new neural AI processor (NPU), called X330, is four times faster and twice as energy efficient as the X220, the company’s first AI chip designed for data center operations in 2020.
Sapeon said the X330 is twice as fast and 1.3 times more energy efficient compared to the latest AI chip released by its competitor.
At the same time, the company does not provide details about its competitors.
It was stated that the new AI chip will begin mass production by Taiwan’s TSMC, the world’s largest contract chip manufacturer, in the first half of next year, after prototype testing and reliability tests.
