This is the second phase of the so-called “Operation Tamoyos”, which for two years investigated a group of traffickers transporting cocaine on the road to Vitoria, capital of the state of Espirito Santo (southeast), from where he was sent by boat to Europe.

Federal police said investigators found that traffickers used “small fishing boats” and “professional divers” to attach drug shipments to the hulls of cargo ships.

In an operation this Thursday, Brazilian authorities dismantled a “sophisticated” network used to “conceal and disguise assets derived from criminal activities, especially transnational drug trafficking.”
