Google is testing new generative artificial intelligence (AI) features for YouTube that will allow users to create musical compositions by simply using a text prompt or simply humming a tune.

As reported by Ukrinform, The Verge reports this.

The first of the features, called Dream Track, is already available to many writers on the platform. This function allows you to automatically create short 30-second musical pieces in the style of famous artists.

Specifically, with the help of Dream Track, users will be able to emulate the music of nine artists who collaborate with YouTube: Alec Benjamin, Charlie Puth, Charli XCX, Demi Lovato, John Legend, Papoose, Sia, T-Pain and Troye. Şivan.

Using artificial intelligence, the software can generate lyrics, background music and sound in the style of the selected artist.

“The idea is to use these tracks TikTok-style with the YouTube Shorts service,” the article says.

In addition to Dream Track, YouTube has also introduced other AI-based music tools that allow you to create musical tracks, often without playing traditional instruments.

YouTube said Music AI music creator members will be able to test the new tools later this year.

As Ukrinform reports, YouTube will ask authors to add special tags when they upload “realistic rendered or synthetic content, including using artificial intelligence tools.”
