Microsoft has released a Windows App for iOS, iPadOS, macOS, Windows and browsers. It is designed for remote connection to software manufacturer’s products.
This was reported by The Verge, according to a report from Ukrinform.
The application is built on top of Windows 365, turning it into a central connection point for remote computers, Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365, Microsoft Dev Box, and Microsoft Remote Desktop Services.
In addition to resolution settings and screen scaling, connecting peripheral devices such as webcams, drives and printers is also available in the updated application.
The previous version of the app for Windows is not currently available for Android.
Only Microsoft business account holders can use the application, but there is a possibility that it will be available to regular users as well.
Microsoft has similar programs for connecting to PCs remotely, but the separate app has unusual branding and may be indicative of Microsoft’s plans to move Windows to the cloud.
In general, a number of web functions have already appeared in Windows 11, in particular the main search interface updated from the Internet, a widget system and integration with Copilot.
As reported by Ukrinform, Microsoft plans to implement its artificial intelligence-based Copilot-based personal assistant for the Windows 10 operating system.
