Space.com notes that the second stage of the Starship system is expected to reach near-orbital speeds and crash into the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Hawaii about 90 minutes after launch.
However, about 10 minutes after the start, the company announced that contact with Ship 25 had been lost during its flight and that it assumed the ship had malfunctioned.
As Ukrinform reported, SpaceX launched Starship on its first test flight in April, but an explosion occurred on the ship shortly after launch.
The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has licensed SpaceX for the second test launch of the Starship rocket system.
