AOC MOSS 7 is a new mini-PC from the Taiwanese manufacturer, which you can learn more about from its computer monitors. But it also has a line of computers that it distributes in Asia that will eventually reach the international market through retailers like Aliexpress.
The first thing that catches your eye about this AOC MOSS 7 is its aesthetics. If mini-PCs generally tend to be similar square or rectangular boxes and quite bland, the AOC mini-PC stands out with its design with rounded edges that give it more visually attractive appearance.
Its dimensions follow the line of containment of the group of compact computers, 145 x 115 x 42 mm, which, together with its design, would predestinate it as a multimedia center or as a home theater device located in the living room next to the television. Use in consumer desktops, offices or kiosks is a matter of course.
AOC MOSS 7, not just design
AOC opted for an AMD hardware base and specifically for a really powerful Ryzen 7 7840HS processor with its 8 cores and 16 threads, 16 Mbytes of third-level cache and a working frequency that can scale up to 5.1 GHz. No It has integrated graphics, but it does have a dedicated Radeon 780M with 12 RDNA 3 compute units, giving it graphics capabilities similar to what you get in some laptops.
It is accompanied 32 GB of DDR5 memory and a 2 TB PCIe SSD. Both components are user replaceable/upgradable. In terms of connectivity, it is compatible with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 and includes a set of ports such as:
- 2 HDMI 2.0
- 1 Ethernet LAN RJ45
- 1 USB Type-C
- 3x USB 3.0 type A
- 1 USB 2.0 type A
- 1 3.5 mm audio jack
- 1 DC power input
The compact is equipped with a fan for active cooling and comes with a 68-watt power adapter. It was not defined if the USB Type-C port is one of the new USB4, which with 40 Gbps bandwidth would allow more options, including external graphics for those who want more potential.
It is sold in China for CNY 3799 (about $525) and it will not be difficult to find it soon in sellers who cooperate with a large Chinese market, such as Aliexpress, which has on sale other models from the series such as the AOC MOSS M3 with Intel N95 and at a very reasonable price of 167 euros.
