There is a new beta version of WhatsApp for Android. This would show that the main company Meta is testing an integrated AI bot for the platform.
According to version 2.23.24.26, a new beta of WhatsApp for Android, main group Meta is testing an integrated AI chatbot for the communication app. WABetaInfo writes this.
Tested and approved
There is one about the update abbreviation to the AI bot, in section chats the app. This would allow users to communicate directly with the chatbot in the future.
Currently, the new feature is limited to select beta testers who have installed the latest WhatsApp for Android beta update. It is available in the Google Play Store.
In September, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced that a select group in the US could experiment with AI-controlled chats via a new feature. This feature is now being expanded to other testers, including outside of the US.
In recent weeks there have been more and more news reports about the combination of AI and WhatsApp. For example, at the end of September there was the announcement of Meta AI on the platform.
AI is certainly not the only current innovation at WhatsApp. Just last week there was an update for audio calls in groups and earlier this month a new privacy feature around IP address protection was introduced.
