The latest version of Anthropics Claude can read and analyze an entire book in just a few minutes. Additionally, Claude is twice as likely to hallucinate.
Anthropic is launching a new version of its AI chatbot Claude. Version 2.1 is intended to compete with ChatGPT and Anthropic is convinced that its chatbot is also superior to it. The maximum number of characters per prompt is increased to a whopping 200,000. The theoretical limit of GPT-4 Turbo light is over 130,000, the regular version is limited to several thousand tokens.
200,000 tokens correspond to around 150,000 words or a text of around five hundred pages, writes Anthropic in a blog. So you can cut and paste an entire book into the prompt box and ask Claude 2.1 to summarize it. Processing such long prompts can take several minutes. However, try reading a 150,000 word text in a few minutes.
Quality over quantity, which is why Anthropic also tinkered with Claude’s accuracy. After internal testing, Anthropic found that Claude 2.1 had two times fewer “hallucinations.” Claude doesn’t know the answer to a question, the chatbot will now admit this more quickly instead of trying to make up an answer. For long prompts, the error rate was reduced by thirty percent.
Claude 2.1 also includes developer tools such as: B. API support. You can use it to let Claude search the Internet, use it as a calculator, or analyze company data. Such features are also built into ChatGPT. About the Workbench You can also play with Claude’s sound or program system prompts.
The timing of the release of Claude 2.1 couldn’t be better for Anthropic. Competitor OpenAI has made headlines in recent days largely because of an embarrassing game of chairs at the top, in which CEO Sam Altman was first fired and then reappointed. Although Anthropic offers an equivalent product, it has not yet achieved the same success with Claude as OpenAI has with ChatGPT.
Claude 2.1 is far from the end point when it comes to Anthropic. The company is working intensively on Claude-NXT, which is said to be ten times more powerful. It relies on money from Amazon and Google.
