PICO, the leading VR brand, celebrated PEAK Dev JamHer first hackathon standalone VR. Next December 5th Winning projects will be announced in eight categories that will share $49,500 in prizes.

The competition challenged developers to create new experiences that represent innovation in XR/MRI. The event welcomed developers of all levels and experience from Europe, North America, Southeast Asia, Japan, Korea and China.

The challenge was to demonstrate an app, game, tool, or test a prototype using the latest version of the PICO Developer SDK Toolkit, which brings new features to RM apps and games. The most innovative projects will be awarded in categories as diverse as video games, education, productivity, finance, health, work tools or mobile solutions.

Under the topic “Redefining XR: Beyond Imagination, Towards Innovation”, The developer community was invited to use not only the VR part, but also technologies like color passing, advanced hand tracking and all the new PICO 4 features.

PICO will also organize a tour of various university campuses in North America and Europe, where students will be able to attend presentations on the company’s latest technological developments in virtual and mixed reality and try out the latest products.
