The average number of searches per minute on Google increased by 65% ​​compared to last year. While 5.9 million searches were made every 60 seconds in 2022, this figure reached 9 million in 2023. Due to the increase in the popularity of the Internet and the number of users, the need to record more information is increasing. This is evidenced by a study conducted by Ukraine’s largest cloud operator, UCloud.

The company’s experts analyzed data from various sources that track the use of global services, including those that store data in clouds.

The world is constantly globalizing. The number of people on the planet has already exceeded 8 billion; 5.16 billion of them are World Wide Web users. This is approximately 64.4%. At the same time, in Ukraine this number increased to 72 percent. On average, every person spends at least 3 hours on the World Wide Web every day. While 13% of citizens are irregular users, 14% of participants do not use the internet at all.

“The more people use the Internet, the more. This trend continues not only in the world, but also in Ukraine. For example, we are constantly increasing the capacity of our transmission channels. “Therefore, you need to be more careful when saving your data,” said Serhiy Polyakov, head of UCLOUD sales department .

The large-scale war in Ukraine has affected internet usage trends. Ukrainians began to pay more attention to news and informative messages. At the same time, the amount of disinformation on the network has increased sharply, indicating an active phase of information warfare. According to the non-governmental organization Opora, Ukrainians get the most information from social networks, television and the Internet (excluding social networks).

The internet is among the top three dangers. Therefore, it is very important to learn to distinguish fakes, check the accuracy of information in order not to become a victim of an information war.
