Latvian telecommunications companies LMT and TET, with the support of the Latvian public organization Entrepreneurs for Peace, delivered more than 300 laptops for the needs of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
As Ukrinform reports, the press service of the Ministry of Defense reported this in Telegram.
“Latvian telecommunications companies LMT and TET, with the support of the Latvian NGO Entrepreneurs for Peace, delivered more than 300 laptops for the scaling of the SAP logistics system. This technique will help keep records of physical support in 150 other military units.”
It was also noted that at the 17th meeting of the Ukrainian Defense Contact Group, Estonia announced its first contribution to the IT coalition in the amount of 500,000 euros. Previously, Luxembourg had contributed 10 million euros.
Also at the meeting, Iceland announced that it would join the coalition. This is the seventh partner country to join the initiative. Previously Estonia, Luxembourg, Belgium, Latvia, Lithuania and Denmark participated.
The press service reported that the Ministry of Defense called on Germany to join the BT coalition during the visit of German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius to Kiev.
The BT Coalition is a dedicated group of states within the Ukrainian Defense Contact Group (“Ramstein format”), led by Estonia and Luxembourg, focused on providing support to the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense and the Ukrainian Armed Forces. in the field of IT, communications and cybersecurity.
As Ukrinform reported, on November 22, the 17th meeting of the Contact Group on the Defense of Ukraine took place within the framework of the Ramstein format and was attended by the heads of defense departments of more than 50 countries.
