Some time ago, the platform announced that it would indicate to users the most viewed snippets of a post in order to save time spent searching for the best parts of a product. The novelty was implemented last Wednesday (18) and comes at a time when there are a lot of long videos on channels, especially with the advent of podcasts.

Content is visualized using graphs, where the peaks are the most popular moments. In addition to helping users find themselves, this tool is also useful for authors who better understand the topics that interest their audience the most.

This feature has been available in all versions of the app, both web and mobile, and is gradually being integrated into the content of the website.

The novelty is part of the “package” of YouTube features for May.

The “location” of the most viewed clips isn’t the only news for YouTube in May. Last week, the platform launched a new tool called Green screen to YouTube shortsshort video section similar to teak current.

The new functionality will allow editing directly on the site throughout Brazil and around the world. Creators will be able to use up to 60 seconds of any eligible video or short film available in the library as the background for their original shorts.

The launches are part of the company’s efforts to provide channels with more tools for creative expression, following in the footsteps of Instagram and Tik Tok, as well as further expanding the functionality of Shorts as a “sub-platform”.

In the past, Youtube created the Shorts Fund: a fund of 100 million US dollars (about 491 million reais) to stimulate the production of short format content. This amount has been “applied” to selected content creators.
