Within the framework of the IT coalition’s work, communication needs and IT infrastructure at the tactical level are being studied.
Deputy Minister of Defense Kateryna Chernogorenko said this during the broadcast of the nationwide telethon “Yedini Novyni”, Ukrinform reported.
“We currently have several priority areas, we are working on the primary need to provide communications at the tactical level. These are several dozen battalions that are directly involved in combat operations. This will provide the opportunity to quickly coordinate on the battlefield, dynamic battles, etc. And the second is that IT infrastructureThis will allow us to have a strong and secure server part. These batches will be transferred to partners based on the MoU and how the Defense Forces will prioritize these needs,” Chernogorenko said.
He reminded that the IT coalition, a special platform for coordinating the needs of the Ministry of Defense with partner states, was created in June this year with the aim of strengthening the direction of Ukraine’s IT infrastructure. The BT coalition initially included three countries: Estonia, Luxembourg and Ukraine. Now there are seven states in the coalition – Estonia, Luxembourg, Latvia, Lithuania, Denmark, Belgium, Iceland. According to Chernogorenko, many other countries have also expressed their desire to join this initiative.
He added that after a technical meeting with members of this platform in mid-November, Ukraine delivered concrete packages with the necessary assistance to partners.
As reported by Ukrinform, Latvian telecommunications companies LMT and TET, with the support of the Latvian public organization Entrepreneurs for Peace, delivered to Ukraine more than 300 laptops that will help keep records of physical materiel in 150 other military units of the Armed Forces. .
