The Panasonic MX950 are the most advanced 4K LED TVs from the Japanese company. They excel in the use of panels MINI LED and are available in two versions with 65 and 55 inches.

Despite marketing departments insisting on confusing you, in practice there are only two main types of technology in the development of large format display panels: LCD and OLED. LED is a backlight system for LCD and MINI LED is an improvement over typical LED.

An important improvement of course, because it reduces the size of the LED on the screen to a minimum (up to 1000 times). Although it still requires backlighting, it has a much higher number of local dimming zones than typical LED panels. As a result, this type of screens offers Noticeable improvement in contrast ratio, maximum brightness, color gamut and black tones.

Using these MINI LED panels, the Japanese company has produced its new series, which promises what we talked about in the previous paragraph, “Exceptional contrast and maximum brightness that minimizes the halo effect to ensure image reproduction with much more detail in dark areas thanks to excellent light control”. In addition, the Quantum Dot layer should improve overall image quality and offer cleaner blacks. The series uses the Panasonic HCX Pro AI image processor and an enhanced Filmmaker mode to enhance the sense of reality.

Good news for players. Panels with MINI LED technology are interesting for playing video games thanks to the above-mentioned properties and others such as the minimization of “leakage” of bright objects into darker areas. Panasonic improved its use with the mode Extreme game mode and AMD FreeSync Premium image synchronization technology, which offers a dynamic, smooth and uninterrupted gaming experience. They have an HDMI 2.1 input that supports high frame rate (HFR) and variable refresh rate (VRR) for next-generation games.

They support all HDR (high dynamic range) formats, regardless of the image source, and in this way, brightness and colors are optimized scene by scene, whether the source is Dolby Vision, HLG or HDR10.

When it comes to sound, they have support Dolby Atmos and immersive sound with dynamic surround Theater mode for the ultimate home theater experience, as through the use of a dedicated mono subwoofer, this mode allows you to experience an enhanced frequency range with lower end frequencies with greater precision and clarity.

To control these smart TVs, they support Voice assistants Alexa and Google Assistant and the proprietary my Home Screen 8.0 app, which allows favorite settings and personalization at the touch of a button, such as setting favorites such as video streaming apps on the home screen to see only the apps you use.
