Merchants can already use Payconiq today with a specific QR code that they display in the store. The only downside is that the customer still has to enter the amount and you have to count on the customer’s confirmation to know that it has been paid.

In the new Payconiq Go app, you display the same QR code of your company, but as a merchant you enter the amount and also receive the payment confirmation, just like with a payment terminal. Because you can view the QR code on your mobile phone, this is particularly useful for businesses that make home deliveries or want to let someone pay outside of the store.

The exact process is as follows: A merchant enters the amount due in the Payconiq Go app. The store’s QR code will then appear on the screen, but the customer can also scan the sticker if that’s easier. The app then confirms whether the payment was successful.

A merchant can also view the history of transactions in the app. There is also the option to receive a report by email every evening with all Payconiq transactions for the day. This is then sent by the app.

Does the merchant choose not to work with Payconiq GO? Then he can simply continue to use the Payconiq sticker. The transaction costs are the same whether you use the sticker or the Payconiq Go app. Merchants can register here to get started with the new app.
