The new combat module installed on the modernized BMP differs in its technical characteristics, which makes it more progressive compared to other similar modules previously used on the modernized BMP-1.

The main development of the new module is the installation of a 30-mm automatic cannon KBA-2, which significantly increases the firepower of the combat vehicle.
