Intel, the world’s largest microprocessor manufacturer, completely suspended its commercial activities in Russia due to the invasion of Ukraine.

This was reported by Ukrinform with reference to the company’s statement.

“Intel continues to join the world community by denouncing Russia’s war against Ukraine and calling for a swift return to peace. We have immediately suspended all business activities in Russia. This is due to suspending all deliveries to customers in Russia and Belarus. It was our decision,” he said.

Russia has 1,200 employees that Intel plans to support.

“Our thoughts are with everyone affected by this war, especially the people of Ukraine and neighboring countries, and the entire world, who have family, friends and relatives in the region,” the company said.

As Ukrinform reported, in early March Intel suspended supply to Russia and Belarus.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Using artillery, rocket-propelled grenades and ballistic missiles, Russian troops massively bomb residential areas of Ukrainian cities and towns, bombarding and destroying infrastructure.

The European Union, the United States, and other countries have imposed strong sanctions on Russia as an aggressor.
