“Violations for attempted murder and assault intent to kill “The maximum penalty is 20 years in prison, and assault with a dangerous weapon and assault causing serious bodily injury carry a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison,” the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Arizona said in a statement.
