There are many applications for managing tasks, perhaps too many. Even Android has its own app for lists and reminders Google Keep never stops evolving, but still we find new alternatives created by different developers and having their own appeal.
This was my experience while exploring ToDark. new task management app This method that I have been testing for a few weeks now and has quickly become my favorite for organizing my daily life on both a personal and professional level. The appeal of this app is how clean it is, in its simplicityThis is really effective for me to organize myself.
A minimalist and noiseless app for greater productivity
into the dark It’s not the first minimalist app for productivity, and it doesn’t look like one. What stands out most in practice is the ability to reduce noise and present only necessary information displayed on the screen in an organized and easy to understand manner.
In the past, I’ve tried countless apps and methods to increase my productivity and organize my daily life, from Evernote and Trello to famous ones. “Pomodoro” method I could never use it for over an hour straight. Simply put, the way I work and my daily routine are incompatible with this method. On the other hand, I still use Trello, but not to organize my daily life, but to organize my long-term projects or ideas.
The applications I mentioned above are nice, but sometimes they are too “noisy”, their interfaces are full of options and menus. ToDark, on the other hand, convinced me with its interface based on three tabs (Categories, Tasks, Calendar) and two levels for projects or events (mainly tasks and subtasks).
The levels are: Categories and tasks. Each category can be a project, for example: “sell my old laptop”. Within this project, we assign tasks: cleaning the laptop, formatting the storage, taking photos and sending it to a second-hand store.
We can assign a color to each category, and in the first tab of the application, precisely called “Categories”, we will see how the circle with that color is filled every time we perform a task. Regarding tasks, when we create a task we provide a description and a the date we need to complete. The app can also send notifications to the user to remind them that it is time to complete that task.
When setting up the app for the first time, ToDark offers two things: the ability to organize tasks and projects in a simple but easy and understandable way and a user-friendly interface. I personally think it works on both counts, so I will continue to use it. Finally, you can choose a light theme or dark theme look, and it adapts to AMOLED displays.
is completely free appand I wonder how it will grow over time. For example, there isn’t a web version accessible from desktop yet, something that could be really useful for adding tasks faster, but I hope it will be available in the future.
