Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahuconfirmed this Saturday threats to Lebanon, a country that will be “destroyed” if the party militia Hezbollah enters the war on a large scale with Israel.

Netanyahu stated this in a televised address.

We are going to restore security in the north and south. If Hezbollah makes the mistake of entering a full-scale war, it will destroy Lebanon with its own hands.

He later clarified.

We are operating in the north against all Hezbollah initiatives against us. We are eliminating terrorist cells, moving them away from the border, and destroying ammunition. We will continue strong deterrence in the north and complete victory in the south.

Regarding the Gaza Strip, Netanyahu said that this is the only way to achieve the goal Hamas can be destroyed by ground invasion enclave and stressed that the offensive would continue “until the end.”

We are going to do everything we can to bring (the hostages) home, complete the mission, and also destroy Hamas and ensure that Hamas will never be a threat to us again and that no group will threaten Israel from Gaza.

“I say simply and clearly: we are going to continue the war until we achieve all our goals (…). There is no other way to achieve these goals except victory, there is no other way to win except a ground invasion,” he said.

Netanyahu stressed that 110 hostages have been released so far, of which 86 are Israeli civilians, children, women and the elderly.

I had a very difficult time making this decision, wondering how to negotiate with a demon who kills, kidnaps and rapes. However, at that very moment I realized that we could save dozens of lives. We have brought back many, but the mission is not yet complete.
