The launch of OpenAI’s GPT store will be postponed to early 2024. The company is initially planning improvements based on feedback from the first test users.
The American AI company OpenAI presented a new tool at a developer conference in early November that allows subscribers to create their own AI chatbot. Additionally, the company announced the launch of the ChatGPT Store in December. This is an online shop that offers AI chatbots. The launch is now postponed to early 2024 as the company wants to improve the tool taking into account the feedback from the first test users.
The shop of AI chatbots
With a recently launched tool from OpenAI, subscribers can start building AI chatbots themselves. These chatbots can then offer the GPT Store to verified users. The GPTs created in the GPT Store are then bundled into categories and brought to the attention of OpenAI. In the long term it will also be possible to generate revenue based on the number of people who use the GPT you create.
Reorganization of leadership
After the unrest of the last few weeks, OpenAI is in the process of reorganizing its leadership. Altman will again assume the role of CEO, Mira Murati will become CTO and Greg Brockman will become president. Finally, a new board will be formed with the largest investor, Microsoft, as an observer without voting rights.
