I remember when the GeForce RTX 20 debuted like it was yesterday. It happened in 2018 and with the new generation as well NVIDIA RTX presentation, the name under which both ray tracing and DLSS technologies are grouped. I speak in the plural because the latter has evolved in such a way that today it is much more than intelligent rescaling.

Inside are NVIDIA RTX four big technology today, generally speaking, they are supplemented by others such as NVIDIA DLAA and NVIDIA Reflex. These are the four main pillars of the said platform:

  • ray tracing– With hardware acceleration (RT core), a technology that realistically reproduces the behavior of light to improve lighting, shadows, reflections and other effects such as refraction and caustic. This evolved into a road layout.
  • DLSS Super Resolution: is an intelligent image reconstruction and scaling technology that enables rendering at a lower than native resolution and scaling the image to the target resolution using AI algorithms and hardware acceleration (tensor cores).
  • Generating DLSS frames: an excellent addition to the previous one, as it uses AI and hardware acceleration (Optical Flow Accelerator) to generate completely independent additional frames on the GPU based on information from intermediate frames.
  • DLSS beam reconstruction: noise reduction technology that uses artificial intelligence and hardware acceleration (tensor cores) to maintain a higher level of detail and achieve a cleaner image, distinguish between good and bad pixels and improve the quality of lighting, reflections and shadows.

It’s true that the technologies associated with NVIDIA RTX had a rather modest debut, but as I told you back then, they had huge potential and it was only a matter of time before they finally proved their worth. This prediction of mine came true long ago, and this new milestone that the green giant has just achieved just confirms the importance that ray tracing and AI have in games and applications today.

NVIDIA RTX surpasses 500 compatible games and applications

And he made it big. Today, the most important games on the market are compatible with NVIDIA RTX, and thanks to the technologies that this platform integrates, we can enjoy not only higher graphic quality, but also multiply the frame rate per second by five.

Among the big bearers of the NVIDIA RTX technology standard, we can undoubtedly highlight it Alan Wake 2which is one of the most technically advanced games out there today, as well as others like it Cyberpunk 2077, Starfield and Diablo IV. In Starfield, NVIDIA DLSS 3 technology plays a vital role because it helps to significantly improve the frame rate, reduces the impact of the CPU bottleneck and significantly frees us from poor game optimization.

To celebrate this important achievement, NVIDIA is giving away 20 Gift Cards at Green Man Gaming, which can be exchanged for products offered by this store. By December we can also get special RTXOn keys from NVIDIA and CDPR joined the celebration take advantage of the launch of Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition. More information can be found on their official “X” account (formerly Twitter).

Other interesting news: ray tracing is coming to Call of Duty Modern Warfare III and Warzone

The latest NVIDIA Game Ready drivers are ready to take advantage of NVIDIA RTX technologies in the latest triple A releases, but I have to tell you a very important and very interesting news in this regard, and that is On December 6, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III and Call of Duty: Warzone will feature path tracking and NVIDIA DLSS 3.5.which means we can enjoy full ray tracing and improve performance and image quality thanks to NVIDIA DLSS 3.5.

Lest you doubt both deliveries of the Call of Duty franchise will be compatible with:

  • Complete ray tracing (path tracing).
  • NVIDIA DLSS Super resolution.
  • NVIDIA DLSS frame generation.
  • NVIDIA DLSS ray reconstruction.
  • NVIDIA DLAA.
  • NVIDIA Reflex.

On December 5, the opening patch 2.1 for Cyberpunk 2077, a very important update that will bring new content and mark the departure of Overdrive mode from the “preview” phase. what will it mean Well, very simple, improvements in image quality and stability, more options for using Ray Reconstruction, and excellent performance.

New NVIDIA Game Ready drivers are also introduced G-Sync support on seven new monitors:

  • ASUS PG49WD.
  • ASUS PG34WCDM.
  • ASUS VG27AQM1A.
  • Corsair 315QHD165.
  • LG 27GR95QE.
  • LG 27GR95UM.
  • Philips 27M1N5500ZR.

Last but not least, these new drivers were introduced optimization for twelve games in GeForce Experience which we can apply with a simple click. These are the new titles that benefit from these optimizations:

  • ARK: Survival Ascended.
  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III.
  • Cities: Skylines 2.
  • Football Manager 2024.
  • Under King II.
  • Foxhole.
  • Ghostrunner 2.
  • As the Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Cleared His Name.
  • RoboCop: Rogue City.
  • Front.
  • Invincible.
  • The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria.
