According to the joint statement issued by the defense ministers of the USA, UK and Australia, the states will actively cooperate within the framework of the Deep Space Advanced Radar Capability (DARC) program. It consists of creating radars to track objects in geosynchronous orbit.
The idea is to build three monitoring stations. The first of them will be built and put into operation in Australia by 2026 (construction is in full swing here), the second will appear in Great Britain (most likely at Cawdor Barracks in Wales), and the third will appear at an unnamed facility in the United States . -th until 2030
DARC will enable countries to identify potential threats to both military and civilian satellites and systems, address space traffic management issues, and support the growing commercial space sector.
