Two weeks ago, on the occasion of the release of Minecraft 1.19 snaphot 22w19a, I decided to jump into the pool and say that it would be the latest beta version 1.19, and therefore only a few days separated us from the first preliminary release of Minecraft 1.19. If you do not know the development cycle of Minecraft, we explained it to you in an article two weeks ago. And what has happened since then? Well, again, good news for those who are waiting.

Snapshot 22w19a was released on May 12, another release of Mojang came six days later, and yes, We were right, because the developer has released a preliminary version 1 of Minecraft 1.19thus confirming that the development phase of this new version has already ended, which we could already guess with the latest images, and therefore they have already started working on polishing all the pending elements.

Yesterday, May 23, Mojang has released a new preliminary version of Minecraft 1.19, the secondalthough it is true that there has been an unexpected change, by adjusting the lighting levels at which they can be generated crowds enemies in the underworld, something that will now appear more often. The company has already announced a future adjustment to this change, but has also anticipated that it will not take place before 1.19, confirming that we are close to launching it.

For the rest, both versions add minor changes, no major modifications, and no significant innovations due to the development cycle phase. In other words, it has become increasingly clear for some time now the month of June is marked with a red circle in the Mojang calendarinside which we can read Minecraft 1.19.

In mid-March, with the release of snapshot 22w11a, the first Minecraft 1.19 to leave the experimental state, I decided to go into the water and I bet it will start in June due to the pace of development. A few weeks later, in early April, I proposed June again as the starting month, although it is true that the end of May was beginning to seem like a possible option, albeit somewhat tight. And now, seven days after the end of this month, even though there is still a very small margin, Minecraft 1.19 may be ahead of my forecast.

However, there is something very clever about Mojang do not commit to data until it is fully locked. In this way, without pressure on the release, say May 31, they can go through the entire pre-release testing process and the release candidate to make sure that the release reaches users in the best possible condition. That is, and without any surprises, I see that it is possible for Minecraft 1.19 to arrive between the first and second weeks of June and, of course, during the first fortnight of the month.
