This Wednesday, rescue teams raised 23 death toll of climbers during the eruption on Sunday Volcano Marapion the Indonesian island of Sumatra, after the body of the last missing person was discovered.
Authorities announced the discovery in a text message sent to reporters, but did not say whether they would continue to search for possible climbers who were not registered or will stop performing tasks.

On Tuesday, Indonesian authorities increased the death toll of climbers to 22. after the discovery of eleven new bodies during the dayand only one thing was missing.

West Sumatra police chief Suhariono told media today he believed there were 23 dead before the body was found, but rescuers were reluctant to declare the missing man dead until they were sure.
Police stressed that another 52 climbers were rescued alive from the volcano, Sumatra’s most active and a popular destination for climbers, and that some of them were present “Minor to serious wounds and burns.”
While Indonesian authorities were aware that there were 75 climbers in Marapi at the time of the eruption, according to notes taken by the climbers themselves before the climb began, Suhariono said today that it was possible there were more as not all of them matched the recording protocol.
“I hope this is not the case, but you can pay a certain amount to join (climbing) groups without registering,” Suharyono anticipated.
The eruption, which lasted 4 minutes and 41 seconds, occurred around 14:54 local time (0754 GMT) on Sunday, the Center for Volcanology and Geological Disaster Mitigation (PVMBG) said in a statement at the time.
The explosion was filmed by residents of nearby towns, who shared videos on social media of a huge plume of smoke emitted by the volcano, causing ash to rain in the area.
The 2891-meter-high volcano, whose name translates as “Fire Mountain,” is the most active on the island of Sumatra.
Indonesia has more than 400 volcanoes, of which at least 129 remain active and 65 are classified as hazardous.
