The bow cannot always be drawn. Professionals who enjoy playing games after work know that a professional monitor is rarely the best choice. Buying a gaming monitor for work is a better option, but from an aesthetic perspective, these models often scream for a lot of attention.

LG recognizes that an interim solution is required. The latest LG 38WR85QC-W UltraWide features a 38-inch 21:9 Nano IPS panel with a resolution of 3,840 x 1,600 pixels. In terms of height, it is slightly higher than a conventional WQHD monitor. The panel has a refresh rate of 144 Hz, which is important for gamers, with a latency of 1 millisecond (gray-to-gray). The monitor supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and Nvidia G-Sync for VRR (Variable Refresh Rate).

The LG 38WR85QC-W is VESA DisplayHDR 600 certified and achieves a stable maximum output of 450 nits in SDR. The 98 percent DCI-P3 color range is ideal for creative professionals.

The monitor has an ergonomic stand that you can rotate, tilt and adjust in height. An existing monitor arm is possible via the VESA 100 mount on the back.

You can charge a laptop with up to 90 watts via USB-C. Inside there is space for two 7-watt speakers, 1x DisplayPort, 2x HDMI, 1x KVM switch, 1x RJ45 Ethernet, 4x USB-A (USB 3.0), 1x USB-B (USB 3.0 upstream), 2x USB C

It is currently unclear whether the monitor will also come to us. The monitor is available in China from today for the equivalent of 1,169 euros.
