Representatives of the State Special Communications Service took first, second and seventh places in the international training of the International Telecommunication Union.

“Representatives of the State Special Communications Service participated in interregional exercises between European countries and the Asia-Pacific region organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). In the exercises held in a joint team with the delegation of the Spanish National Cyber Security Institute (INCIBE), Ukrainian cyber defenders came first twice and in two exercises. They placed second and seventh respectively.” reader.
Issues of combating cyber threats were discussed in the drills; increasing the security and stability of the information and communication environment; optimization of interaction between national CSIRT teams; detection, monitoring, response and remediation of cyber incidents; collection and processing of cyber intelligence data, etc.
Additionally, Ukrainian cyber defenders participated in panel discussions on the state of cybersecurity in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region, strategies to protect critical information infrastructure, national cyber crisis response plans, and the role of partnerships in cyber diplomacy.
Interregional cyber training for the Europe and Asia-Pacific region 2023 is organized by the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) in the Republic of Cyprus. The aim of the event was to strengthen communication and incident response capabilities among cyber incident response teams in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region. More than 70 teams and more than 200 participants from 40 countries of the world attended the training.
