Houthi officials say their actions are a show of support for the Palestinians.

Israel said the attacks on the ships were an “act of Iranian terrorism” with implications for international maritime security.

A Houthi military spokesman said all ships heading to Israeli ports were prohibited from entering the Red and Arabian Seas.

In a statement, the spokesperson said and emphasized that the threat has an immediate effect.

If Gaza does not receive the food and medicine it needs, all ships passing through the Red Sea to Israeli ports, regardless of their nationality, will become targets of our military forces.
