The Ukrainian delegation, led by the Head of the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption Oleksandr Novikov, started its visit to the USA as part of the 10th session of the Conference of States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption.

The Ukrainian delegation also included the Minister of Justice of Ukraine Denys Malyuska, Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Policy Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Anastasia Radina, Director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine Semyon Krivonos, Head of the National Agency. Detection, Investigation and Management of Assets Received from Corruption and Other Crimes of Ukraine, Olena Duma and NAKC Deputy Chairman Yaroslav Lyubchenko.
The conference will take place in the city of Atlanta between December 11-15.
During the visit, the President of NAKC is especially planned to give a speech at the plenary session of the conference. The speech will focus on the fact that the corruption of societies and states leads to wars, conflicts and poverty, while the development of integrity leads to peace and sustainable development of the world.
Ukraine will also organize a separate event within the framework of the conference called “Ukrainian Integrity Ecosystem: War and Post-War Recovery”. At the meeting, the NAKC chairman will present Ukrainian digital tools for corruption prevention to international partners and talk about their role and opportunities for use by other countries and the UN. The event was designed to demonstrate to the world and donor countries Ukraine’s ability to resist the enemy and to guarantee the virtuous use of assistance provided in military and other fields.
In addition, the Chairman of the NAKC will hold a series of meetings with the heads of anti-corruption bodies, government representatives and representatives of international organizations, both to disseminate Ukraine’s experience in building integrity and preventing corruption, and to borrow the experience of other countries. . In particular, the Ukrainian side will present to the partners the “Manager’s Guide” that any organization in the world can use to transform it into an effective and virtuous organization.
The Conference of States Parties to the UN Convention against Corruption is the main event for all representatives of the anti-corruption field of the 193 member countries of this organization. It is held every two years. Participants of the conference include heads of anti-corruption institutions, ministers, leading scientists researching anti-corruption issues, representatives of international and public organizations from around the world.
