We’ll have to wait at least one more day to see SpaceX’s powerful Falcon Heavy rocket take to the skies again.
The rugged Falcon Heavy is scheduled to launch the U.S. Space Force’s X-37B robotic spaceplane from Florida on Monday evening, December 11, a launch known as USSF-52. But about 30 minutes before the scheduled launch time (01:24 GMT) to 20:24 ET (01:24 GMT), SpaceX announced a cleanup.
“Today’s Falcon Heavy launch is being canceled due to space issues; Vehicles and cargo continue to serve. “The crew is relaunching for the next launch of mission USSF-52, which will occur tomorrow evening at the earliest,” SpaceX wrote. X.
USSF-52 will be the seventh launch of the 29-foot-long (8.8 meters) X-37B reusable rocket, which military officials say is primarily a test bed for new vehicles and other technologies. Most payloads and other information regarding X-37B missions are classified.
