The company stated that as of now, subscribers’ personal data has not been compromised.

It is reported that the operator’s specialists are working to eliminate the consequences of the hacker attack in order to restore communications and provide services as soon as possible.

Kyivstar also undertook to pay compensation to subscribers who were not connected or unable to use the operator’s services.

It’s about the failure at Kievstar that matters

• On the morning of December 12, Kyivstar experienced a technical malfunction. Many subscribers were deprived of communication and access to the Internet.
• Moreover, Kyivstar subscribers cannot switch to other operators using internal roaming. Because the connection problem also affected other services such as national roaming.

• The large-scale failure of Kyivstar’s work caused problems not directly related to mobile communications. Problems with street lighting were reported especially in Lviv, Sumy and Zaporizhzhia.
