WhatsApp is introducing a new feature that allows you to pin messages for thirty days so that they always remain visible.

Finding a specific message can sometimes be a difficult task in WhatsApp. Especially in longer group conversations, this means that you have to scroll back until you come across it or hope that the search functions will help. Now you can make it easier for yourself by pinning messages.

After a short test phase, WhatsApp has started rolling out the feature. You can pin messages in both individual and group conversations for 24 hours or 30 days. During this time, they will remain at the top of the conversation so you can see them at any time. The feature can be useful to ensure that important announcements are not obscured by other messages.

Pin messages in WhatsApp

To pin a message, press and hold the message. A menu will now appear with additional options (three dots in Android, Moreon iOS). When you tap on it, you’ll see an option to pin the message. A pin icon next to the message confirms that the action was successful.

Don’t you see the option in WhatsApp yet? Meta is currently rolling out the feature, so please be patient. Check the app store where you downloaded the messaging app to see if any new updates are available.
