The company has registered a patent for a laptop with an extraordinary design. It is equipped with a flexible screen, but does not fold, like smartphones, but rolls up, taking up a minimum of space in the “stowed” position. The document published by WIPO also shows the likely design of the unique development.

Based on the drawings and other supporting documentation required for approval by the patent office, the flexible display laptop will have a roll-to-roll design. This solution will allow him to take the form of a roller for ease of transportation and storage.

Judging by the text of the patent, to deploy the device, it is enough to pull the display up by a special handle above the top frame. In this case, the keyboard will be pulled out separately from the bottom – judging by the sketches, it will be touch-sensitive.

As in the case of other patents, the technical specifications and the possible date of the announcement of the device are unknown. It is possible that the company will develop a smartphone with a similar design, but there is no official confirmation of this theory yet.
