This was reported by the press service of Kievstar on the evening of December 14. There they reported what can be restored as of now and when the Internet will be available to all users.

What has been restored so far:

• More than 90% of mobile communications base stations in the Ukrainian-controlled territory are operational;
• subscribers can use voice calls;
• The “Home Internet” service is activated;
• Started restoring mobile data services.

Internet restored in Frankivsk

The company also reported that the first region where mobile internet was restored was the Ivano-Frankivsk region. However, they announced that services were being restored gradually to avoid overloading the network.

“Short-term difficulties with the quality of communication may arise in some regions, but experts will eliminate them immediately,” the message said. The statement is included.

Kyivstar is reminded that if your SIM card is not registered on the network, you need:

• reboot the phone;
• Turn airplane mode on and off.

On the morning of December 12, users of the Kyivstar mobile operator reported that they had difficulties in communication, could not make calls, and also did not have access to the Internet, the “league” and home Internet.

It later became clear that the cause of the failure was a hacker attack, most likely involving Russia. SBU launched an investigation.
