“Voice service is connected. However, its availability and quality depend on many factors. We are currently working to ensure everyone has connectivity. This will take some time,” the company said.

The “Home Internet” network was reported to be 93% repaired.

If the SIM card is not registered on the network, it is recommended to restart the phone, turn “airplane mode” on and off.

As the company notes, short-term communication difficulties still occur in some settlements, but experts are working on their elimination.

“Recovery after a large-scale hacker attack is a difficult process. However, we continue to cooperate with the Security Service of Ukraine and other state authorities to learn all the details,” Kyivstar said. he added.

The company emphasized that they will prepare compensation for subscribers without connection as soon as the network becomes stable.

As Ukrinform reported, on the morning of December 12, the operator “Kyivstar” became the target of a powerful hacker attack, which led to a technical malfunction. Communication and internet access services became unusable.

The company assured that subscribers’ personal data will not be compromised. They also promised compensation to subscribers who did not have a connection or could not use the operator’s services.

The Security Service of Ukraine has initiated criminal proceedings regarding the cyber attack on Kyivstar. One of the versions of the investigation involved the participation of Russian special services.

It was learned that Solntsepek, one of the so-called hacker groups of the Russian Federation, claimed responsibility for the attack on Kievstar on December 13.
