Samsung has announced its new generation of laptops in response to the launch of the latest Intel processors that we introduced to you yesterday. The Galaxy Book4 Ultra represents a series that includes several models with different functions, screen sizes and formatsbecause it also includes a convertible version.
Samsung is the world’s leading manufacturer of mobile phones and televisions, but it also has personal computers in its catalog, which, without reaching the number of PC giants, stand out for their lightness, thinness, quality workmanship and balanced selection of components. The new Book4 was leaked last month and now it’s official.
Samsung used the same monikers it uses on its Galaxy S phones, and the “Ultra” is the top of the line in terms of specs. The basis is a touch screen with technology AMOLED, diagonal 16 inches and a native resolution of 2880 x 1800 pixels. Its maximum brightness rises to 400 nits and refresh rate to 120 Hz.
Samsung will offer several Intel ‘Meteor Lake’ processors for its new notebooks, but the Galaxy Book4 Ultra will be the only one that can equip Core 9 185H. It will also be the only one to feature dedicated graphics, choosing between an RTX 4050 (6GB GDDR6) or an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070.
Your memory capacity will increase to 64 GB LPDDR5X, while storage reaches 2 TB with PCIe SSDs. The rest of the components are at the level of a premium notebook, with a four-speaker audio system with Dolby Atmos; full connectivity with Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3; Thunderbolt 4, HDMI, USB and microSD ports; 2MP webcam and 76Wh battery. It should be noted that despite its power and size, its weight remains at a valuable 1.86 kg. With Windows 11 Pro, it is expected to be priced around $2,399.
With the same design as the top of the line, Samsung offers variants here 14 and 16 inchesboth high-resolution with 2880 x 1800 pixels and 120 Hz refresh rate The hardware level is lower than the Ultra model with Core 5 or Core 7 processors and runs with integrated Intel Arc graphics, as it is not possible to equip with dedicated graphics.
The memory and storage capacity is also smaller, although sufficient with 32 GB LPDDR5X and SSD up to 1 TB. There is an audio system with four speakers, good connectivity with everything from the Ultra model, a backlit keyboard, a webcam and a 63 or 76 Wh battery. We don’t have an official price. It’s expected to start at $1,499, with Windows 11 pre-installed and a choice of two colors.
If you prefer a convertible design, Samsung has a level and very large version with 16 inches. Also with a multi-touch AMOLED panel, a native resolution of 2880 x 1600 pixels and the versatility of its format with 360 degree hinge system which allows different ways of use.
It can fit Intel Core Ultra 5 or 7 processors, integrated Intel Arc graphics, up to 32 GB LPDDR5X and up to 1 TB SSD. It has Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 and the connectivity of the previous ones. Also with Windows 11, it is expected to be priced at $1,899.
