The ThinkPad X1 Carbon is the star of Lenovo’s notebook catalog and one of the refreshed models with new Intel Core Ultra processors. The manufacturer will also launch a convertible variant of the X1 and other models of the consumer IdeaPad series.
The ThinkPad X1 Carbon is one of the best ultraportables in the business, and Lenovo regularly updates it with the latest hardware available. It maintains carbon fiber chassis a distinctive model that has reduced its weight to an excellent 1.09 kg. Not bad for a laptop that has a touch screen 14-inch OLED diagonal with a native resolution of 2.8K, a refresh rate of 120 Hz and support for HDR500 True Black.
Its hardware base has been updated with the new high-end Intel Core Ultra H with integrated Intel Arc graphics, up to 64 GB of LPDDR5X memory and SSDs for PCIe 4 NVMe storage with a capacity of up to 2 TB.
Support for the new Wi-Fi 7 wireless standard is also launching, along with Bluetooth 5.3 and the option to equip 5G or 4G mobile broadband for full connectivity. Also very well equipped with ports, with two Thunderbolt 4, USB type A 5 Gbps, HDMI 2.1 port and 3.5 mm audio jack.
Lenovo also updated the keyboard with tactile markings for the volume, insert, Fn and Enter buttons, in addition to increasing the size of the TrackPad to 120 mm, and it was possible to equip it with a glass haptic touchpad if desired. They have a fingerprint sensor, an 8-megapixel MIPI webcam with a private shutter and a Kensington security lock. Its battery is 57 Wh and with pre-installed Windows 11 Pro it will be available from this month 2989 dollars.
The convertible version is just as spectacular as the previous Carbon. It has a 360-degree hinge that allows the screen to be positioned above the keyboard and prefer multiple uses from laptop to tablet, through transitional tent modes.
The screen is identical, i.e 14-inch multi-touch OLED diagonal with a native resolution of 2.8K, a refresh rate of 120 Hz and support for HDR500 True Black. Includes a pressure-sensitive pen for writing and drawing on the screen. It also has the new high-end Intel Core Ultra H, Arc graphics and the same memory and storage capacity: up to 64 GB and 2 TB.
Lenovo also reiterates support for the latest wireless standards and connection ports. It comes pre-installed with Windows 11 Pro and will be available in March 2024 2639 dollars. High prices for really impressive laptops.
