The head of a technology company banned in Russia is building a large complex with an underground bunker of approximately 500 m² in Hawaii. It is equipped with emergency exits, energy reserves and long-lasting food. The authoritative Wired writes about this.
It is estimated that the project will initially cost around 270 million dollars, but this figure is likely to increase. The complex includes more than 30 bedrooms, as well as a network of treehouses connected by living bridges that create the feeling of living among the trees.
It is also planned to build two large buildings connected by a tunnel with an emergency exit and an underground shelter equipped with massive metal doors. There is no other information at the moment, construction is being carried out under conditions of increased secrecy.
Mark Zuckerberg is not the only billionaire preparing for possible negative scenarios in the future. Other technological leaders also take precautions: Sam Altman, for example, has a large stock of weapons, gold, medicine, and the head of Reddit, in addition to the above, has laser vision correction to increase his chances of survival.
LinkedIn co-founder Reed Hoffman estimates that more than half of Silicon Valley’s billionaires are invested in some form of apocalypse preparation.
