Intelligence and analytics company Recorded Future will allocate more than $23 million to protect Ukraine from military and cyber attacks in 2024.
This was reported on Telegram by the press service of the Ministry of Digital Transformation, Ukrinform reports.
“Reliable protection against cyber threats: Recorded Future will allocate more than $23 million to support Ukraine,” the message reads.
As the Digital Ministry emphasizes, it is important to protect critical infrastructure against Russian military and cyber attacks during war, and Recorded Future tools help detect and respond to cyber attacks in the early stages.
Recorded Future currently cooperates with 16 Ukrainian state bodies, including the Ministry of Digital, State Special Communications, State Security Service, SBU, Ministry of Defense, Prosecutor General’s Office and Cyber Police.
Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Recorded Future has provided intelligence to protect Ukraine’s critical infrastructure, assisted in the investigation of Russian war crimes, and opened access to the Intelligence Cloud software platform. The company has invested more than $20 million in total to aid Ukraine for 2023.
As Ukrinform reported, on the morning of December 12, Kyivstar became the target of a powerful hacker attack that caused a technical malfunction. Communication and internet access services became unusable. The Security Service of Ukraine has initiated criminal proceedings regarding the cyber attack on Kyivstar. One of the versions of the investigation involved the participation of Russian special services.
