As it was previously known, the Google Podcasts service will stop working in the spring of 2024. But the YouTube Music migration tool is already working.

According to the source, the function is currently only available to users in the US. There the company displays a special pass banner explaining the whole situation. It includes the exact date (April 2, 2024) with an option to “Learn more” and the option to start “Export subscriptions”.

• If you choose “Export to YouTube Music”, make sure YTM is installed and updated to the latest version.
• After that the application will open and you will need to confirm the email address of the account.
• You must accept the “Add RSS Feeds” option; This process may take a few minutes.
• Google will note how many podcasts have been published and you’ll be able to see them in your Library under Podcasts.

There is another option: “Export to another program”. In this case, the OPML file is loaded. This will open a system file selection window to complete the process.

We would like to remind you that the YouTube Music team has been working on adding podcasts to the music service for a long time. This feature will offer all the features that Google Podcasts offers, but will also add many new features. Podcasts on YouTube Music aren’t yet publicly available. The team is still working on adding the ability to mark a podcast as listened to and notifications about new episodes.
