Its internal codename is “Saturn” and war technology will play a fairly important role in the game.

This approach is a far cry from what Call of Duty 2024 will have, a game that will theoretically take us to the recent past as it will be set in the Gulf War. On the other hand, Call of Duty 2025 is said to be designed as the sequel to Call of Duty Black Ops II, and will feature new maps and remastered maps from this installment, a nod to the nostalgia of fans of the franchise.

As you might imagine, Call of Duty 2025 is in the very early stages of development, so there are things that haven’t been fully decided yet, but the title is expected to feature technical and gameplay improvements, and the source explicitly refers to the motion system.

On a graphical level, it would be normal that on the date of its arrival, this game already is exclusive to current generation consoles and PCalthough it is not confirmed and we cannot rule out that Activision Blizzard wants to take advantage of the large player base that still has a PS4-PS4 Pro or Xbox Series X-Series S until the last minute.

If this current-gen exclusivity is confirmed, we can expect substantial improvement at the graphical level, because developers will no longer have to build Call of Duty 2025 based on the limitations imposed on them by the PS4 and Xbox One, two consoles that, I remind you, barely have 5 GB of free memory for games, using a Jaguar processor that is practically a 2013 Intel Atom and its GPU is similar to Radeon HD 7850 and Radeon R7 260.

Call of Duty Black Ops II was one of the best-selling games in the franchise, so this information makes a lot of sense. According to the latest official data, that delivery sold nearly 30 million copies worldwide. This also suggests that Activision Blizzard’s expectations with Call of Duty 2025 could be very high and that the title would be perfect for this leap to the current generation.
