The Redmond giant recently updated the list of processors compatible with Windows 11, but made a big mistake he “forgot” to introduce the new models that AMD introduced in it and limited this recovery to the latest Intel processors that have recently hit the market.
At the time of writing, the list of processors compatible with Windows 11 has been updated with the 14th generation Intel Core a also with the new Intel Core Ultra. However, if we look at the list dedicated to AMD processors, we will see that the last update made by the Redmond giant included the Ryzen 7040.
For some reason that we do not yet know Microsoft hasn’t updated the list to include the new Threadripper 7000 and the Ryzen 8000 and Ryzen 9 7945HX3D are also missing. Microsoft may be waiting for the official launch of the Ryzen 8000 to include them in that list, but it’s inexcusable that the Threadripper 7000 and Ryzen 9 7945HX3D don’t appear on it.

I imagine that in the next few weeks those of Redmond They are updating their list of Windows 11 compatible processors againand that they will use it to introduce the models we have introduced. I remind you that if your processor is not on Microsoft’s official lists, it is not compatible with Windows 11, but this does not mean that you cannot install the mentioned operating system.
I can confirm that Windows 11 works on computers equipped with unsupported processors, and that performance is good if we comfortably exceed the minimum requirements. I was able to test it on a variety of computers and on something as modest as an Intel Core i7-4770K, 16GB DDR3 and an SSD, the performance is very good.
However, keep this in mind There is a risk that problems may arise at some point. compatibility or even that Microsoft has decided to stop providing updates for computers with unsupported processors. If I were in this situation, I would not upgrade directly to Windows 11 and continue with Windows 10 until I can restore the PC.
All processors Ryzen 2000 (Zen+) and higherand Intel Core Gen 8 (Coffee Lake) and higher are compatible with Windows 11.
