The Falcon 9 rocket launched 23 Starlink Internet satellites into orbit from Cape Canaveral Cosmodrome in Florida at 7:33 a.m. Kiev time.
According to SpaceX’s mission statement, this was the 19th launch of the Falcon 9 first stage, marking a new mark of reusability for the company.
As planned, the Falcon 9’s first stage landed approximately 8.5 minutes after liftoff on the Just Read the Instructions drone ship in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Florida. The Falcon 9 rocket went on to launch 23 Starlink satellites into low Earth orbit. The spacecraft was supposed to be deployed there approximately 65.5 minutes after launch.
SpaceX has launched more than 90 orbital missions in 2023 so far, and there are currently approximately 5,200 active Starlink satellites in orbit.
