Japanese electronics giant Sharp may be preparing to launch a 100-inch TV in China, details appear in an online listing on the Chinese e-commerce platform. Although an official announcement is yet to come, the listing gives a glimpse of the upcoming product.
The TV features an impressive 288Hz refresh rate for ultra-smooth visuals, as well as 224-zone backlighting for improved contrast and HDR performance. Gamers will likely appreciate VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) and ALLM (Automatic Low Latency Mode) support for a smooth, tear-free gaming experience. Connectivity options look generous, including HDMI 2.1 ports for streaming high frame rate games directly to your TV.
Under the hood, a quad-core processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage will handle the operation. And the audio system will perform a built-in speaker system with a power of 60 watts.
The listing lists a pre-sale price of RMB 29,999 (approximately $4,300) and states a December 31 launch date. While Sharp hasn’t officially confirmed these details, the existence of the listing suggests an imminent announcement could be on the horizon.
In November, Sharp also introduced two new products: Sharp FQ8 and Sharp FQ5. Both are 4K TVs with a 120Hz refresh rate and maximum brightness of up to 500 nits. The television also has HDR certifications such as Dolby Vision, Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10 and HLG. Additionally, Google TV operating system is pre-installed on the TV. For the audio system, Sharp offers Dolby Atmos certified 15W speakers and subwoofer.
