The GPT-4 Turbo neural network is available for a fee with a ChatGPT Plus subscription. However, Microsoft offered the opportunity to try its features for free. However, for this, it is necessary to be among the testers selected by chance. Microsoft is currently testing ChatGPT-4 Turbo integration and plugin support in its own Bing Chat chatbot (Microsoft Copilot).
Microsoft also plans to update the Code Interpreter feature to make it compatible with the capabilities of the OpenAI platform. This means the Code Interpreter in Microsoft Copilot may soon be able to answer more complex questions about programming or data manipulation.
GPT-4 Turbo is a new ChatGPT model based on OpenAI’s existing GPT-4 model. Because the language model is trained based on publicly available information through April 2023, it can provide more accurate answers to users’ questions about recent events. GPT-4 is only available to Plus subscribers and is not free.
Citing sources at Microsoft, the Windows Latest portal reports that the company has rolled out its latest ChatGPT model to Bing Chat. True, GPT-4 Turbo is not always used in this case, but depending on one or another option and plugin settings. Bing Chat can switch between the current AI model and GPT-4 Turbo when using default settings. Being able to test GPT-4 Turbo as part of Bing Chat is still a matter of sheer luck, as the feature is only available to those selected to test it. However, Microsoft has confirmed that it plans to expand the rollout in the coming weeks.
It is also worth noting that Microsoft does not prefer specific accounts or regions when selecting test users. The selection is completely random and works on the principle of A/B testing. There are several ways to find out if GPT-4 Turbo is being accessed as part of Bing Chat. The easiest way is to go to Bing.com/chat in your browser on a PC or laptop, create a new topic and view the source code of the web page. Then you need to search for dlgpt4t using the “Find in Page” function in the Edge or Chrome browser. If the query results in references to dlgpt4t in the source code of the web page, this means that the user has access to GPT-4 Turbo.
On mobile devices, you can verify your right to use GPT-4 Turbo for free as part of testing by uploading an image (preferably abstract) to the Bing Chat chatbot and asking the AI chatbot to describe the emotions evoked by this image. Unlike previous GPT models, the new GPT-4 Turbo model in Bing Chat can recognize emotions and talk about them freely.
Plugin settings also appeared on Bing Chat. You can optionally use this setting to disable searches made through the Bing search platform as part of a Bing Chat request. If you disable the Bing Search plugin, the Bing Chatbot will not crawl Bing links to find answers to your query. Instead it will rely entirely on its own training data.
Bing Chat’s ability to respond to queries regarding events between January and April 2023 also confirms that the GPT-4 Turbo model was used to respond to queries.
