Company Space PerspectiveThe first prototype of the space-faring Neptune test capsule, whose design was completed, was presented. It was designed to transport tourists into space in a special “space balloon”. The company plans to conduct test flights with the finished capsule to prepare the ground for crewed test flights.
Space Perspective plans to offer commercial flights and will carry passengers up to 30,480 meters using a sealed capsule suspended in a high-tech balloon. The Neptune capsule will be connected to a hydrogen-filled space balloon throughout the flight, from takeoff to landing, ensuring a smooth and safe flight.
The spaceship, which has the largest window to accommodate eight tourists and a captain, will offer an astronaut experience to travelers and allow them to see the Earth from space.
The capsule will have comfortable seats, a bar with snacks, Wi-Fi system, 360-degree panoramic windows and a toilet. The company hopes to start carrying groups of up to eight passengers by the end of 2024, with tickets costing $125,000.
Space Perspective successfully sent a capsule simulator into space on a space balloon in 2021. The company has now focused on further testing and improving its design to evaluate all situations and non-standard security scenarios. Data collected during future unmanned test flights will inform the development of a commercial-grade capsule. Source
