The Lenovo Legion 2024 will be a new line of gaming laptops from the Chinese manufacturer, and will feature the new “Raptor Lake Refresh” processors that Intel will unveil at CES 2024.
Legion 2024 notebooks will be sold through various versions of the 7 and 9 series, as we read from its leak for the Chinese market. We hope they arrive well updated with an improved design; thinner and lighter metal chassis; reinforced cooling systems; different screen sizes (15, 16 and 17 inches), resolutions and refresh rates; the latest standards in connectivity and the premium features users have come to expect in this product line that continues to pull the PC bandwagon: gaming laptops.
Of course, they will use the latest processor platforms and specifically the ‘Raptor Lake Refresh’, which Intel will present at the Las Vegas trade show as part of an event planned for January 8th. This is a presentation of the remaining versions of the processors in this series with “HX” as the tip.
We see models such as Core i9-14900HX with 24 cores and improved clock speeds over the current 13th generation lineup. The base platform will remain the same as its 13th generation equivalents, meaning it supports DDR5 and PCIe Gen5 memory, as well as a default TDP of 55W and a maximum power of up to 157W.
As we can see in Lenovo’s trailer, these processors are the same size as their predecessors and the already released LGA1700 desktop series. This mobile variant is designed to fit into the BGA connector of laptops and lacks an integrated heatsink.
They will be complemented by dedicated graphics cards from the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series, large amounts of RAM, SSDs for storage and updated connectivity with Thunderbolt ports and USB4 connectors, among others.
Lenovo Legion 2024 notebooks will be unveiled at CES 2024, along with other models from all major manufacturers responding to Intel’s official announcement scheduled for January 8th.
