A robot attacked a Tesla engineer at a Texas factory due to a software glitch.

The robot attacked the man who was working on the software of two Tesla robots standing side by side at the time. The robot pinned him to the ground and dug its metal claws into the worker’s back and arm.
It was noted that two more workers who had to press the emergency shutdown button watched the incident.
The robot was designed to grab and move freshly cast aluminum car parts.
The incident, which left an “open wound” on the victim’s left hand, was revealed in a 2021 injury report filed with Travis County county and federal regulators.
In the injury report, which Tesla must submit to the authorities by law to preserve tax deductions in Texas, it is stated that the engineer does not need to take leave from work.
Tesla did not report any work-related injuries to regulators at its Texas plant in either 2021 or 2022.
