In September, Windows 11 replaced Cortana with its new AI-powered assistant, Copilot. Last month, Microsoft integrated OpenAI GPT-4 Turbo into Copilot and now Copilot is available for Android users.
Microsoft recently introduced the Copilot AI Chat Assistant for Android using OpenAI GPT-4 and DALL·E 3 models. This app provides fast and accurate responses while creating visually appealing content from basic text input.
You can download Copilot for free from the Google Play Store, which allows you to draft emails, create stories, translate languages, proofread and plan travel routes. Powered by DALL·E 3, Image Creator simplifies design processes by turning text prompts into high-quality images. While an Android version is already available, Microsoft has not officially confirmed plans for an iOS version. There is speculation about a potential launch in 2024, but details have not been confirmed.
This development comes after Microsoft rebranded Bing Chat as Copilot. Copilot on Android closely mirrors its ChatGPT counterpart, offering chatbot, rendering and messaging capabilities. For iOS users eagerly awaiting Copilot, current access to the features will continue to be available through the Bing app. Microsoft’s entry into the mobile app space underscores Copilot’s evolution into a versatile tool.
In related news, Suno, known for its AI algorithms for music composition, has partnered with Microsoft Copilot to offer an easy-to-use tool for easy song creation. The process is simple: Users provide a text prompt and an algorithm takes over, creating fully realized songs that accompany lyrics and singing voices.
