A US federal appeals court has temporarily blocked the International Trade Commission’s (ITC) decision to completely ban imports of the latest Apple Watch smartwatch models while the patent

“The appeal court’s temporary stay of the ITC’s decision will allow the US Customs Service to review Apple’s design change in the controversial Apple Watch models, and this change must be made by January 12,” the statement said.
Apple said in the lawsuit that it could suffer “irreparable harm” if the ban continues while an appeal is pending.
As Ukrinform reported, Apple on Tuesday filed an urgent appeal with a request to temporarily suspend the implementation of the ITC’s decision to ban the import of its watches due to the patent dispute. Masimo Corporation and Cercacor Laboratories, which previously worked mostly in the medical field, filed a complaint with the US International Trade Commission that Apple violated their copyrights. The commission regarding the use of blood oxygen sensors in Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 smart watches decided to stop the sale of these models.
